Would any of the players be interested in writing a Journal for the Marked Ones?

Just need a quick summary of what happened last ConnorsCon. I will then add any necessary names/details - but I would prefer the crux of it be from a player (in case i inc stuff I shouldn't ;)).

I have a space for it on the Past Adventures page. Just type it in there.

Obviously extra XP/Bennies would be up for grabs. It would be nice to share the load a little too.

I'm happy to take a crack at this, but might need some refreshing on specifics. At work over the next few days (on break at the moment), so be mindful that you won't see anything until at least the weekend.

Thanks. That would be cool. I would like to here a (or more) player's perspective, before i add additional notes :) (Others feel free to chime in or add to Blair's notes).

Any advance on this Blair?

Also - I just thought of something that might help jog your memory (and something I need anyway) - I was wondering whether the large map of the crypt (on the roll-out grid paper) is still at your place? Hope so ;)

Anyway, if you find it please let me know (and have a look - it may help your Journal, or if having trouble I might get this started and players (meaning probably you) could fill in some blanks). Cheers, C.

Sorry Connors. I completely forgot to post any of this. I've uploaded the basic recap from what I can remember. I also had a look for that big map of the Tomb of Rahotep to help jog my memory, but along with a few other D&D items (Reece & Harga's CS among them), I couldn't find it. So I've posted what I have done, in the hopes that someone else might be able to fill in some of the blanks.

It's a bit disturbing that I can remember more from back in the 1990's when we were fist playing these characters, than what I can from 2 full days of play from 6 months ago.

Fully understand. I have a hopeless memory as a player too these days :(. Thanks for posting what you have, I will check it out.

Bit worried about the map, as it would be a big help…not to mention I plan on continuing with it this year… Asked Shane?

Yeah read it. Fair bit missing from the Tomb, and I believe you have mixed up events too - BS was charmed by Dispater at the last encounter. The demon lord thing was more of a brute fight and I don't believe charmed anyone ;). I am sure if you found the map it would help :), but others, PLEASE help fill this in.

I have been reading the module again of late and realised I never quite finished converting. I guess at the time I knew what to do and was going to 'wing it', but now that is forgotten, so I need to go back and make sure of certain things like the different parts of Rahotep, which Curses have been set off and which of the Evil Objects of Set you have found. All this might be important for the finale ;)

Does anyone remember exactly what happened in the very last encounter with Dispater. Pretty important we pick that one up where we left off.

!! That's right… it was Dispater! What was the thing in the room at the end of the underground river? I remember it being a big statue. I also remember using some of my bennies from WindChaser to help save… someone from it's powers.

And I just went and asked Shane. He didn't know where it was. Maybe that triggered my memory though, cause I just went and looked among the rolls of wrapping paper I've got, and found the map there!

From looking at the map, I remember that we did walk over a couple of curse triggers/traps or something. There was also a big pit trap that I'm pretty sure WindChaser fell down, and used his enlarge power to grow big enough to climb out of.

From memory, the end of that last encounter with Dispater, we defeated him. (I don't know if we had killed him or just forced him to turn into a bat and flee). We also found a secret tunnel hidden behind the throne that he was sitting on.

Thanks - that's what I wanted to know. he certainly wasn't defeated. I remember him flying around the dark roof and people pinging at him l,r&c, but he was not hurt.

He was sitting on the oversized throne stroking BS like a pet before the combat broke out. I am not sure who started combat after a long-winded discussion with Dispater, but I remember it being quite funny - like "Okay, I heard enough of this shit. I attack!" right in the middle of Dispater batting on.

I will put in some subtitles and add bits to journal too :)

RE the map> I really wish players would write all over those maps. That is why i put them out there - I expect players to use them for notes, planning, memory, etc.

Re Curses. I cannot for the life of me remember if anyone is still cursed, but I am pretty sure that anyone who was has already triggered their curse - like WC and the pit ;)

In the stone 'box' in centre of the 'island' was a tall statue of a 5-headed Set, painted red. One crack of VaKem's mace 'Stonecracker' crumbled it to bits, and in the rubble was 1 of the Evil Objects of Set - The Book of Eternity.

Another task asked for that was not completed? I was having a look at getting these guys going again for 5E, but again, others don't seem to have completed stuff.

At least not on the page where I started a summary anyway (and asked for players to finish off) :(
